Good friend and most excellent technology and clamming strategy blogger Dave Churbuck is using a great tool for monitoring isolating and mapping what bogs are driving trends and who is feeding whom on the Internet. He's testing a new tool called BuzzLogic from veteran entrepreneur web developer Mitch Ratcliffe.
Dave's quest lately has been to find a tool that monitors blogs and Internet feeds so he can implement a proactive support program for Lenovo's Thinkpad and other computer products. David makes the case in this morning's post that Buzz Logic is among the first tools he seen and used that can help him accomplish this mission. From What Dave has written and what I can see of this product, I think BuzzLogic could quickly set a new gold standard for blog monitoring and opinion mapping.
Although I write mostky about mobile computing and related technologies, I think BuzzLogic will quickly gain a huge following among consultants who track public opinions. More importantly, based on what Dave is saying at Churbuck.com, i can see where any professional who needs to track opinions and their impact in any sort of community, will quickly make BuzzLogic their tool of choice for monitoring blogs and the spread of opinions.
I signed up to beta test Buzz Logic this morning, and I'm going to talk about it at a local college later this week when I lecture on Internet-based businesses and product marketing.
Oh, BuzzLogic is among the 70 or so companies listed as participants in the Demo Fall 2006 show opening tomorrow down here in San Diego. My bet is that this tool will be transformational.--Jim Forbes 09.25/2006.
(Obligatory disclosure notice: I am a retired producer who worked on approximately 13 DEMO-branded events. i have no fiduciary or other relationship with the shows but will be on-hand at Demo this week, writing about companies and new technologies.)
Thanks Jim. Excellent report on Demo in your next post. I have yet to attend, but you make it sound unmissable.
Good to see Scott Briggs surface in your comments too. Wonder if he used BuzzLogic to find you?
